At Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, Domaine à Liguori hosts two different gatherings: the Christmas tree lighting on Friday, November 20, followed by the Christmas market on Saturday, November 21. Both use the same location, 1300 rue Principale, with a different reason to visit each day.
Friday centres on a gathering, an illuminated walk and the tree lighting. Saturday is the day for the market and local artists and craftspeople. Admission to both gatherings is free.
Friday: arrive ahead of the illuminated walk
Welcome and refreshments begin at 5 p.m., within the announced 5–8 p.m. gathering. Soup, sweet bites, hot chocolate and coffee are offered free. Activities then begin at 5:30 p.m.: character entertainment runs until 6 p.m., and a decoration activity for toddlers starts at 5:30 p.m.
The illuminated walk runs 6–6:30 p.m., followed by the tree lighting around 6:30 p.m. To take in that sequence, plan to arrive before the walk.
Saturday: make the market your focus
The market opens November 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with local artists and craftspeople. The full Saturday programme is still to come.
Choose the tree lighting or artisan browsing
For an outing centred on the tree lighting, choose Friday and arrange to arrive before the 6 p.m. walk. For market browsing, choose Saturday’s daytime window. Give your gathering one clear focus without having to attend on both days.
