KaléidoscopesDates and visitor information
December 27–31, 2026
After Christmas, Kaléidoscopes brings five days of music, theatre and mural art to Old Québec. From December 27 to 31, the festival uses Place D’Youville, Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville and the Hôtel-de-Ville gardens.
Presented by Québec City’s German Christmas Market, the festival has its own dates after Christmas. Admission is free and general hours are 2–9 p.m. daily, giving you a choice between an afternoon outing and one that continues into the evening.
Three stages and several ways into the arts
Three free performances a day are announced on each of the three stages. Music, theatre and mural art offer different ways into the festival, depending on which discipline interests you.
Artist names, performance times and exact assignments to each location still need the detailed programme. For an outing centred on a show, choose the performance first, then its meeting place.
Choose a visiting window, then a performance time
The 2–9 p.m. window gives you a choice between an afternoon and an evening outing. Taking the bus is recommended for getting to the festival.
One performance, with another square as an option
Choose a day after Christmas and a square to start from. Once times are available, pick a performance that interests you and leave the rest open, depending on whether you feel like exploring another stage.
Questions before you go
Are all the art forms presented on every stage?
Music, theatre and mural art are announced for the festival. Their exact distribution between sites and days still needs to be detailed, so use the individual schedule to choose a performance.
