A few landmarks for your walk
Tourisme Trois-Rivières suggests a walk through Parc portuaire and Rue des Ursulines in the historic district. Its heritage trail also features panels about streets, buildings and the people who lived there. Choose a small part of the neighbourhood according to your arrival point and the day’s conditions. Read a panel if access suits you, look at a façade and leave time to stop. You make your own walk using these landmarks as a starting point.
A game of three details
Give the outing a little theme by looking for three things: a roof shape, a detail in stone or brick and a word you discover on a panel. On your own, note the one that surprises you. With a partner or group, share your discoveries without needing to notice the same things. If a river viewpoint is accessible and conditions suit, take a short pause to look. This activity does not involve a ticket or purchase.
Leave time for the return
Check the weather, sidewalk conditions, public-space access and your route back. The tourism description does not confirm snow clearing or access to every passage in winter. You can choose a single street and retrace your steps; stairs are optional in our suggestion. Keep an indoor alternative if wind or ice makes the walk less pleasant. Holiday decorations and activities need to be checked separately with their organizers.
